The choices for racing helmets can be confusing nowadays. With more brands releasing their own models, one can get easily lost in choosing a head gear; and when you finally choose one, you realize it's not the perfect fit. Too tight, too loose, or even too enclosed- the list of problems can go on which can get frustrating at times. With the Oakley ARO Series, we can say goodbye to these shortcomings as the product design and sport performance eyewear company has come up with a series of designs that addresses every issue a rider has.

THE OAKLEY ARO SERIES

A great helmet does not start and end with great head protection alone. It should also be comfortable to wear and can withstand the toughest of conditions.
The ARO series is equipped with MIPS Brain Protection System: a low friction layer separating the shell and the lining devised to reduce rotational motion on angled impact, providing the rider with superior protection. This is further supplemented with EPS Protective Foam that absorbs impact and road vibrations.
For a snug fit, Oakley also threw in the BOA® FS1-1 System. A 360-degree fit system wherein a dial tensions the TX1 lace: soft, flexible, and thin lace that lies flat inside the helmet. This also makes it easier to use your shades as it does not compete with space.
To address sweating, X-STATIC® Brow Pad draws off liquid and inhibits bacterial growth keeping you odor-free.
Both the ARO5 and ARO3 are equipped with an eyewear dock making it easy to stow and access your eyewear when needed. The ARO7 on the other hand comes with two visors that you can swap out between Prizm™ Road and clear lens.
Although similar in safety features, each helmet is geared towards specific riding profiles:
ARO3

The ARO3 is geared towards ventilation and cooling. This helmet is designed for riders who tackle challenging climbs under the scorching heat of the sun. With its large and long vents, airflow is easily facilitated even at low speeds. The ARO3 is available in 3 sizes and 7 colors.
ARO5

The ARO5 bumps things up towards the faster end with less vents and an aerodynamic model via condensed tail. This design is geared towards sprint finishers and racers- the perfect balance between ventilation and speed. The ARO5 is also available in 3 sizes and 7 colors.
ARO7

Unlike the ARO3 and ARO5, the ARO7 prioritizes speed with an aerodynamic design that is inspired by racecars. This is the ultimate weapon for timetrials and triathletes where every second counts and efficiency is a must. the ARO7 also has a shorter tail compared with other timetrial helmets giving the rider more freedom to move but without losing any aerodynamic advantage. The ARO7 also uses a Fidlock Magnetic Strap Buckle Closure like Oakley’s snow helmets: a magnetic buckle that locks from any angle and releases in one direction for a quicker helmet fitting. You can get the ARO7 in matte black and white.
The Oakley ARO series is now available in all Oakley stores nationwide.
