2018 concludes on a thankful note

No task is too big as long as everyone works as ONE

Putting up a triathlon team and making sure it runs smooth is a difficult task by itself. Add on the logistical and financial needs for races, gears, etc, and things can get stressful easily.

This was a fact Mr, Ricky Halasan had in mind when he decided to establish the Team last June 12, 2017. And indeed in less than two years, the Team was able to go up and running with now 75 members participating in various races of different distances. This was achieved with a transparent system of letting anyone within the team contribute anything if they want to.

Last December 2, 2018, before things get busy for most people, the Team has decided to hold its second year-end party with the theme "We Eat, We Drink, We THANK" in reflection to almost two great years filled with great memories.

Nothing less than thankful

The event was hosted by team members Micah Ramos- Agapito and Jojo Santos which was opened by team founder Ricky Halasan. He took the time to remind everyone on the priority each one should have in mind which is God first, family second, and school/work third before triathlon. He took time to share his experiences and realizations on balancing being a family person and triathlete at the same time- a priority pitfall for a lot of us triathletes unfortunately.

After the short reminder, Micah and Jojo gave ten achievements the Team had for the year which includes podium finishes, new sponsors, hitting 3,000 likes in Facebook, and the launching of the new website to name a few.

Choices

This was followed with a quick glimpse into the next few months with the expected arrival of the new Trisuit from PSI and planned races and outreach activities for 2019. Of course, no Christmas party will be complete without raffle prizes. Two Oakley ARO 3 helmets and a pair of Radar EV shades were on top of everyone's target for the night together with two wheelsets (Origin8 and Novatec).

These prizes won't be there without the support of our sponsors TECSI, Unison Bikeshop, New Balance Philippines, Arena, and Oakley.

And of course, everyone spent the night drinking and having fun. "Off season" is an excuse we get to use only one month every year so we better maximize it right?
